RSW Update!

Hello, all! I just want to thank everybody who joined in on the fun during my cover reveal! There's still one more day to enter for my $50 Amazon gift card, so go here if you haven't entered yet!!

And now for my Ready. Set. Write! update. Thanks again to the RSW Ladies! (ErinJaimeAlison, and Katy!)

How I Did Last Week:

  • My cover reveal was a smash! I'm completely jazzed with how it went--the response was bedazzling!
  • PHOBIC is now on NetGalley, woot
  • Another set of SEALED WITH A KISS edits were done, and I'm sending it to my editor today!
New Goals This Week:

  • Format the paperback of PHOBIC
  • Beta read for a friend
  • Slow down, relax, and enjoy summertime with my kids
My Biggest Challenge This Week:

  • Time management! I got crazy stressed after my cover reveal because suddenly I had SO MUCH TO DO. I had a little break down on Sunday because I was just so overwhelmed with mommy-hood and writing-hood, along with the number of things I had to do for church as well--I conducted and did the announcements in Primary--a group just for the children of our church. Then I taught the Sharing Time lesson, then the eight y/o class, and then I also had been asked to play a solo during Sacrament Meeting, so when it rains it pours, right? Anyway, I'm feeling much better. Hubby took over--played with the kids, cooked dinner, let me snuggle in bed with a book and just not worry about anything for a while. HELPED SO MUCH!!!
Also, yay for Crystal Collier--her cover reveal is today, and I have to say, I'm stoked to read her books! Click here to see her official reveal and find out more! Moonless is on sale TODAY ONLY for 99 cents. Definitely joining in on that!

Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful week and knock your goals out of the park!! <3

Time management is always something I struggle with as well. You were so busy this week, Cortney! I'm so happy your cover reveal went so well. It looks wonderful! :D

Snuggle time with a book is important! Glad you got to squeeze some in cuz it sounds like you are way busy. Also, congrats on the successful cover reveal! I'm sure that was nerve wracking. Good luck with this week's goals! <3

Whew! Cortney, I'm right there with you. I just got released as Primary President (for the 3rd time) and I'm wondering what to do with myself now. I've decided you have those Sundays to prove you are more capable than you ever believed. You have to stretch a muscle beyond its capacity in order to build it. Stay strong and definitely take the breaks you need. (And thank your for sharing my cover! You rock!)

Things can get so hectic when preparing for a book release, so taking some time off is definitely a good idea! Have a great week!

Great hubbys, FTW!!! I'm sorry about your breakdown (I don't know ANYTHING about those!), but glad the hubs was there to give you downtime. Sounds like it was exactly what you needed!

And your cover is so creepy and awesome. I'm still thinking about it! Good luck this week!

Sorry you had a bit of a rough week. Hope this coming week is calmer. I love the cover of PHOBIC -- so creepy and cool. Congrats on it, Cortney!

Yikes, that was a lot on your plate! It's so neat to hear about all the things that go along w/publishing a book. And it's on NetGalley? Ooh... =) Good luck this week!

How exciting to have your cover reveal! It's really hard to balance the writing life with kids, and yet we lucky moms get to do it!

I think with all you've got going on you're entitled to a little breakdown now and then! My hubby has rescued me at many a mom/writing low point, so I'm glad to hear yours knows when you need time to de-stress too! I hope everything goes smoothly with your formatting and all the other book prep before your release!

Congrats to Crysta on Soulless, and good job on all you've accomplished! I am in love with your cover. Totally spooky-awesome! (Yes, I said awesome... AGAIN!) lol.

Whoa... I've had some busy Sundays at church, but a day like that would have REALLY stressed me out. So glad your husband helped you recover!

Glad to hear your cover reveal was successful!

I suck at time management. It's something that I am learning on perfecting. It's nice that your husband let you take a break though. It's always good to just have a moment where you don't have to worry about anything.

Have a good week! :)
