Time for a book review!! Kelley Lynn and Jenny Morris's book ROAD TO SOMEWHERE just came out!
I read this in one sitting, guys, just gobbled it up! I was a little worried because I had a hard time following all the characters that were introduced in the opening chapter, but by the end of chapter two I was hooked!
A Texas ranch was a great setting for the story. One of my favorite things when I'd visited Texas had been how hospitable and kind people were, and that was captured perfectly in this novel!
The characters were great--Lucy and Charlie are two very different sisters, but it's sweet how they come together and realize maybe they aren't so different after all. There are lots of little victories throughout the story as they go through that process. And the point of view shift helped give great insight into their desires and their differences, as well as how they come together through their passion for music.
And hello hot guys and sweet summer romances! I loved both Luke and Drew--they were true-to-life cowboys with great southern, gentlemanly manners. They were the reasons I couldn't stop reading! The kisses were scrumptious and I felt like I was right on the ranch with them.

Publisher: Bloomsbury Spark
Synopsis via Goodreads:
New! From Bloomsbury Spark, a sunny heartwarming story of discovery and sisterhood.
A road trip. A singing competition. And super-hot cowboys.
What could be better?
For Charlie, a post-high school road trip isn't just a vacation, it's life changing. While her parents think she's helping a friend move, a chance at fame is the real reason to grab her best friends and drive to L.A. But when her super annoying, uber-responsible, younger sister, Lucy, has to tag along, it isn't quite the summer of fun she imagined.
Add in a detour to her grandparents' ranch in Texas, and between mucking the stalls, down-home cookin’, and drool worthy ranch hands, this could just turn into the best, and most complicated, summer of their lives.
Kelley Lynn was born and raised a Midwestern girl. She’s not afraid to sweat and fills her free time with softball, soccer and volleyball. (Though you probably don’t want her on your volleyball team.) She occasionally makes guest appearances as a female vocalist for area bands. Music plays a large role in her writing process as well as the characters and plot lines within her stories.
Now for the giveaway!! So many awesome things, you guys. I want the notebooks!!! :-p
