Stylish Blogger Award

Thanks to Ilima for this fun award! And for making me blog, lol. I've been so lazy lately, guys!!

As these things go, I'll share seven random facts about meself, and then pass it on to five lucky peeps.

RANDOM FACT #1:  I just finished watching The Vampire Diaries on Netflix and I'm going crazy for the third season to show up on there. Hello, Damon! :D

RANDOM FACT #2:  I'm in the middle of my fourth time querying, this time with my YA horror, PHOBIC, and it's going better than any of the other times have gone. (For instance, I actually got a partial-to-full request, which has never happened before!!) Fourth time is the charm, maybe? *crosses fingers*

RANDOM FACT #3:  I nearly traveled Europe while I was in college, but decided to use the money to get married instead. I made my new hubby promise to take me there someday, but the older I get (like I'm that old now), I regret not having just GONE. But I was all romantic then, like, "How can I go without my HUSBAND?" I totally should have just gone, lol.

RANDOM FACT #4:  I sold Mary Kay for a year after I first got married, and I nearly won the car. I got frustrated though, because no matter how hard you work in something like that, your success totally depends on someone else either selling something or buying something. So you can work your guts out and still not get to where you're trying to go.

RANDOM FACT #5:  I got my first-ever pedicure last Saturday and it was awesome. My toes are now pink and sparkly!!

RANDOM FACT #6:  I can't stick to one genre. I write YA, but so far I've written paranormal romance, romantic comedy, fantasy, and horror. Who knows what will come next!

RANDOM FACT #7:  I'm not a flexible person. There are those people who can touch the floor just bending over, not bending their knees or anything? Yeah, not me. I can barely reach my ankles. If I work at it for several consecutive weeks I can reach my toes, but reaching the floor is pushing it.

Now to pass it on. My five picks are:

Suzi
Karen Akins
Leigh Ann Kopans
Morgan Shamy
Kyra Lennon

Hope everyone has a fantabulous weekend filled with lots of awesomeness!!! :D Any fun plans?

What book did you query? (:

Ohh, I am totally unflexible too. Sometimes I think I should stretch every day to get better. But then I bend over and it hurts and I give up!

Thanks for the award. Good luck with the querying and all TWV stuff!

you totally deserved that award!
Damon is a stud!
I watched Vampire Diaries, but I never made it past the first season. I was disappoined in how they stopped being like the books.
But maybe I should give it another chance.
You almost went to EUROPE?!
you should've went!
I'm still waiting to read a book by you!

I really hope everything goes well with Phobic because it sounds amazing!

Oh lol, yes, should've used the money for a European honeymoon! And i'm also not very flexible. Watching people do the splits confounds me.

Phew. I'm calm. Kind of.

Cort, look at me learn things about you I've never known before! Interesting! Cort, aside from being an uber talented author, you're an even more amazing person. I can't wait to be travel buddies this August!!!! Fun. Fun. Fun. Europe is awesome, but better spent with the hubby! ;) And thanks SO MUCH for the shout out. Means a lot! :D

Congrats on the award! I wish I would have traveled before settling down too. Now with a kid, we won't be doing any such thing until he's much bigger. Good luck with PHOBIC!

Aw, I'm sorry you missed Europe, Courtney! But there is always time. I did the opposite, I traveled all thru my 20s and got a late start with marriage and motherhood, but I wouldnt change it. :)
I hope the 4th time is a charm for you too!!!!! I'm still waiting for my charm.

I got married instead of going to Europe too. Maybe when I'm a bestseller... ;) Sounds like query's are going well. Good luck!

I've always wanted to go to Europe!! I'd be kicking myself too, but you can still go!! I like to write other types of YA too. It's fun to experiment ;o) Good luck on the query-go-round, sounds like you're doing well <3

So there is a writer's retreat in August on the Greek Island of Ithaca. Just a little F.Y.I. I believe you could write this off, if I am not mistaken. *cheesy grin* It could be your ticket to seeing other parts of Europe and the Mediterranean while you are over there. Here is the link about it. http://hwrw.blogspot.com/
I know I plan to make every effort to go with the hubs next summer if they schedule it there again. I would have gone this year if I had known about it sooner!
Congrats on the award.

Wow, Cortney. This is awesome. You are doing great. We need to talk about this awesome fiction you're writing sometime. Too bad we didn't get together while you lived here. I've been diving into some writing again and you are inspiring. I hope all is going well for you!
