Hello!!

Hi everyone!! Back from sunny awesome Texas! We had a fab trip. The sunshine and green grass were delicious because back home in Idaho things are brown and windy and cold. Here's some fun highlights of the trip:

We got a personal tour of the Dallas Cowboys stadium (behind us). I'm not a huge sports fan. I mean, I like sports, but I suck at playing them, and they just don't hold my interest for longer than half an hour or so. ;) But it was still an awesome structure and very fun to see!!!
Hubby liked the cheerleader's locker room. LOL (I made him take this picture!!! *winks*)
We went to the Fort Worth Zoo, which is one of the best I've ever been in. I usually don't like to post pics of my kiddos, but I wanted to show our hats. I figured since we were in Texas we should look the part, lol.
The Fort Worth Botanic Gardens are beautiful (though everyone kept saying, "You should come back a month from now," which is probably true since things were pretty brown and not in bloom yet). We went into the Japanese Gardens and fed the fish.
Just a glimpse from inside the main press box at the Cowboys Stadium. That screen is huge! :D We couldn't go down on the green because they were bringing dirt in for an upcoming rodeo and concert with Dierks Bentley (or however you spell his name).

Anyway, we're back and I'm excited to get back into the blogging/writing swing of things! I've missed you all, can't wait to stop by your blogs soon!!! Hope you all had a fabulous week too!!

I haven't been in that stadium in a long time. Always funny to me how they cover the fields for stuff like that.

You are SO CUTE! I love the pictures. Now I wish I could head off to sunny Texas cause it's going to storm here again. :( *sigh*

Also - the contest on my blog is working now so you can hop back over and enter. :) Sorry for the mistake. *cringe*

I'm Canadian but my dad has been cheering for the Dallas Cowboys longer than I've been alive (33+ years). We have pictures of us as infants decked out in Cowboys paraphernalia. He'd go nuts getting to check out their stadium! As for the gorgeous-looking weather there (t-shirts?!), we just got hit with over a foot of snow in one day. Eep! Glad you had such a fun trip! :D

@T., We did have lots of fun, thanks!

@Joshua, Yeah, it does seem weird, to haul in all of that dirt only to haul it back out again.

@Kyra, Thanks! Yee haw, right? :-p

@Liz, Thanks!! :D

@Leigh, I know, it's windy and nasty here too. And yay, I entered!!

@Jaime, How fun! And I'm half-Canadian!! Yikes, snow. Here in Idaho it's just windy and dreary cold.

@J.A., Yeah, we didn't want to come home!!

@Theresa, Thanks! Despite missing the sunshine, I'm glad to be back. Just trying to get things back to normal now. ;)

@Andrew, Are you from Texas? Did you live there for a while? I really liked it there!! :D

Sounds like y'all had a great time. I've only been to Texas once - a friend got married in Austin last year. It was fun, and I'd like to explore more of the state.

I was born in Texas. In Irving, actually. I spent a lot of time in and around east Texas as a kid.

I have never been to Dallas before but it looks really cool. I go to Texas quite often and like the culture there. Love the pic of your hubby in the girl's locker room. Glad you had fun.
