Willamette Writers Conference 2011
I attended last year's conference and it was excessively helpful in spiffing up my book and making it better than I ever thought it could be. I also met and pitched to several agents there and attended AMAZING workshops that helped with so many aspects of my writing. It was all-around a very worthwhile trip, it was motivating and inspirational, I also made a great friend while I was there. Good speakers, good insights, I got extremely helpful manuscript critiques from professional editors. If you're serious about writing, I definitely suggest you attend a conference of some sort. Why not start with Willamette?

I'm a mother, a Mormon and a musician, and I squee over all things pink and sparkly. I write books about doors that shouldn't be opened and enchanted tears that shouldn't be shed. I'm the proud wife of a farmer, and we live in a dinky Idaho farm town where the chances of getting stuck in tractor-induced traffic jams are highly likely. I believe anything can be made better with a good attitude and maybe a book packed away for those just-in-case times.
